For me I have more fun teaching when the aesthetics are cute (I know how basic am I) but it’s true! To encourage early learning and dino fun here’s a free printable for you and your kiddo. Tips on how to recycle this lesson to create more learning opportunities (& get your ink’s worth) from your favorite mom friend:
This Activity can be reused for multi purpose learning after your child is done with the Counting Activity page. Here’s how to reuse this activity page for other lessons and activities.
To reuse this activity page to review/learn about sizes:
- Together cut the dinosaurs out of the activity page
- Have your child separate the Dinosaurs into groups of big and small Dinos.
Then when you’re done with using the Dino cut outs to review big and small sizes:
- Use the cut outs to decorate during art time and let your free birds get crafty!
- To keep it Educational you can draw shapes, letters, or numbers and ask your child to, “glue a Dino onto the Triangle” or “Glue a Dino to the letter C” it can make review and knowledge testing fun for the kiddos.
- To review colors its’s really fun to draw houses in certain colors and instead of color sorting. Your child picks up a Dino and you say commands such as, “That T-Rex belongs in the purple house!” or if it’s a small Dino you can say he needs to be with her mommy in the blue house, or something along those lines and then your child places the dinosaur where the “command” tells them to go.
- Remember “Commands” are a great way to combine the topic you want to learn or review, and listening comprehension skills into one lesson.
Homeschool is the ultimate family time it makes it so I have a planned out time to have one on one with my child. Even if this isn’t the route you take I hope you look over the activities and games I offer and use them to utilize more planned family time. I’m convinced families with lots of love and time for one another can change the world. Notice I didn’t give a long list of perfection, just love and time.
