5 Tips: How to upgrade your man to an Instagram Husband

Ok ladies let’s get to the nitty gritty cause everyone’s man should be able to take some decent pictures. I mean who else is going to get all those cute pictures of you with your babies or just when you look dang hot and need to document it. Have a plan! It’s kind of a buzz kill when you’re doing a favor for someone and there’s no real plan set. Have a location picked out. Have a time of day set (you might want to plan this based on lighting/forecast, or times the location will be less busy). Have a plan for how you want the picture to look and your ideas behind it.

Sometimes after 5 poses I start to try something new. I’ve told my husband to tell me his opinions during the shoots. If I’m doing something awkward with my arm or my smile looks creepy just tell me so I don’t have 50 pics of my creeper face in my photo gallery. More importantly when something looks great have them tell you. If you’re doing a “good thing with your face” make them tell you. That way you can keep that same facial expression, but with several different poses! Teamwork is the key to this tip!

Composition is EVERYTHING! If you’re lacking proper placement it’s likely your photos will look kinda wonky. The secret is if your boo sucks with placement (ex: He manages to get the entire ground yet the top of your forehead is missing). Take the camera and have him pose or stand there while you take pictures of the composition/placement you want then let him look. This will give him an exact visual of how much background vs you that you want for the pictures. **Note: It’s best to plan out some poses so you can see how they work with certain angles.**

This is huge rarely do people ever just take one picture. The professionals take hundreds even thousands then find that picture that embodies their vision most accurately. Have him take a ton! Make your camera roll look like spam cause he took so many pictures!

Instagram husbands are great to have around, but remember everyone has their own talents and interests. Some husband’s just ain’t cut out for this! Girlfriends are great supporters, and I’m sure they would love to help you build your dream feed (these tips can help anyone willing to help you).
